Christian Salvesen believes that it has a moral responsibility to ensuring the Health and Safety of its stakeholders and to protect the Environment through the training and management of colleagues within the business and contractors who work for it.
HS&E performance is regularly reviewed at each level of the business, and the Managing Directors of the business units are responsible for showing leadership and ensuring the implementation of the Group HS&E policy and compliance with relevant national laws and standards.
Christian Salvesen aims to manage risk to the environment and risk of injury and ill health presented by its operations to as low a level as it is reasonably practicable to expect. All risks will be identified and assessed and appropriate control measures implemented and managed to achieve this outcome.
Our employees have a duty to take care of the environment; local initiatives and environmental considerations collectively can have a global impact on the environment. Key environmental objectives include maximising the efficient use of materials, supplies and energy including the use of renewable and recyclable products. Minimising the production of waste, preventing pollution, promoting environmental awareness amongst employees, customers, suppliers and contractors and considering the views of local communities in environmental issues are also important considerations.
Our Health, Safety and Environment policy will be made available to the public on request.
