In addition to our solutions design team, we also have a team of in-house engineers and project managers with the capability to design, build and implement projects from an initial enquiry through to go live.

CAST is a supply chain network design application used to model logistics networks. We use it to work out the best location for a new warehouse or distribution centre and see how near that theoretical centre is to our current infrastructure.

The clear advantage of CAST is its flexibility - not only does it enable us to model an entire supply chain but we can look at specific parts of the chain as well. Fixed business constraints can be integrated with the most favourable methods to produce outcomes that are both customised and cost-minimised to specific business criteria.

PARAGON is a strategic planning tool which we have used at Christian Salvesen for over 10 years. It enables us to identify the best transport solution through analysing volume and geographical requirements, taking into account our infrastructure and governing legislation such as maximum driving or duty time. This software enables us to compare different options to find most suitable solution.

We also have a team of engineers and project managers with the capability to design and build to suit a customer's requirement. Their speciality is the analysis and resolution, on a consultancy basis, of logistics issues for a wide range of customers.
