People
By becoming one of Britain's Top Employers 2007, Christian Salvesen achieved recognition for its work to ensure that its people are well trained and appropriately recompensed. We continually work to improve our leadership and people management capabilities, recognising that there is always more that we can do. We measure our achievements by regularly conducting opinion surveys of our colleagues' attitudes to working with Christian Salvesen, and act on the results.

Christian Salvesen has a wide range of operations that are accredited to international and national standards. We hold international accreditation to:

• ISO9001:2000 quality assurance standard
• ISO18001:2004 Environmental management standard

We also hold certification for HACCP (Hazard analysis Critical Control Points) at our temperature controlled sites.

The first of our values identifies our commitment to Health and Safety. Our membership of the British Safety Council recognises our commitment to working towards best practice in Health, Safety and the Environment.

Our team of Health, Safety and Environment Advisers provide our business units with specialist advice and guidance to improve current operating practices and review our operations on a regular basis.

Technology

Our technology is close to the heart of everything we do. We interface our sector-leading transport management and warehouse management applications into our customers systems to provide seamless management information capability, or alternatively provide internet based access to allow our customers to view our information.

Technology is not just IT. We have expertise in vehicle design, in warehouse design and in solutions design - all developed to ensure that our customers achieve the highest quality solution possible, and the best value.
