Supporting retailers by taking the strain
Christian Salvesen puts great effort into looking after its customers. This includes taking the pressure off them during peak periods, removing activities that are not appropriate for current facilities, or providing alternatives when existing facilities are insufficient for demand.

Support Services
Our support services business unit provides a wide range of services, including produce tray washing, card and plastic baling and equipment inspection and repair. For the retailer, these activities are taken away from the regional distribution centres with minimal disruption to the supply chain enabling these complex centres to operate at peak efficiency. Support for J Sainsbury
During the Christmas season 2004, Christian Salvesen supported J Sainsbury by implementing a chill relief site at Rugby.

Support for ASDA
When ASDA decided to refurbish its Lutterworth Chill and Frozen distribution centre, Christian Salvesen were on hand to offer alternative facilities to minimise disruption to the flow of goods to the stores. Christian Salvesen provided ASDA with a facility to operate its chill distribution and the frozen products were taken into Salvesen's Nuneaton Distribution Centre, from where picking operations were conducted for a year, whilst work on the Lutterworth site continued.
